What People Say About Us

"I can not say more amazing things about Dr. Culpepper and the staff of Paw and Claws! I would follow them anywhere they go just so they could take care of my animals."

Cat & Dog Ultrasound and X-Ray Imaging

Digital X-ray and ultrasound are noninvasive imaging methods that give our team an inside look at your pet’s bones, internal organs, and blood vessels. Using these tools can yield important clues about something that might be ailing your pet, or may even show us something that has not yet caused outward symptoms.

X-ray and ultrasound help us detect:

X-Ray

  • Bone fractures and bone spurs
  • Limb deformities
  • Joint inflammation
  • Foreign bodies in the stomach and/or intestine
  • Heart problems

Ultrasound

  • Pregnancies
  • Abnormalities in blood vessel and organ function
  • Cysts and tumors
  • Fluid in the abdomen
  • Bladder stones

Why Should Pets Have Their Eye Pressure Checked?

Tonometry involves checking and measuring your pet’s eye pressure. The reason we might recommend this test for your pet is if they have the potential to develop glaucoma in one or both of their eyes. Glaucoma is a condition in which higher than normal intraocular pressure (fluid pressure within the eye) pushes on the optic nerve, causing damage. Without treatment, glaucoma can result in permanent vision loss.

Laboratory Testing

A majority of the blood and fecal samples we receive from our patients are sent out to a specialist lab for testing. We’re connected to trusted experts that provide comprehensive results so we can understand your pet’s condition more fully. We receive most of our blood work results within 24 hours.
