A Veterinarian Offering Personal Care and a Warm Welcome to You and Your Pets

Located in the pet-friendly town of Dunedin, Paws and Claws Animal Medical Center is a small animal practice with a close-knit team and a big heart. What we lack in size we more than make up for in quality—our technology is first-class, and our veterinarian gives every patient and client the personalized, one-on-one attention they deserve. You’re part of our family at Paws and Claws, and we can’t wait to take care of yours!

"We have been taking our dog Nina to Dr Culpepper for about 7 years & she is a gem. When she started the new practice, we didn’t hesitate to keep seeing her even though she moved farther away. Her staff is always good but Dr Culpepper takes a personal interest in our dog & provides great care."

We're Fully Focused on Pets and Their Families

The Paws and Claws Animal Medical Center mainly treats dogs and cats, but we also welcome small mammals (pocket pets and sugar gliders), rabbits, birds, and reptiles, too.

As part of our commitment to excellent care, our animal hospital is designed to be more open so that patients can see what’s happening in their surroundings. We want our practice to feel welcoming and safe for every pet.

Taking Veterinary Care to a Higher Level

As your veterinarian, we think that only the very best medicine will do. Therefore, we have outfitted our hospital with some of the latest, safest, and most reliable technology.

Our digital X-ray equipment produces higher-quality images of your pet’s bones and joints in a shorter amount of time.

Our in-house ultrasound machine offers a step up from radiography, allowing us to view internal structures in motion and in sharper detail.

Laser surgery gives us greater precision when performing certain procedures and can reduce swelling, bleeding, and recovery time for pets.

Playing an Active Role in Our Community

Along with providing state-of-the-art medical, surgical, and preventive care, we also enjoy participating in pet-related community events. Dunedin is home, and we want to give back to the pets and people who make Paws and Claws Animal Medical Center possible.
